Name:
My name is Marisa Palpallatoc. My name is hard to pronounce if you don't know how to pronounce it. And if you pronounce it the way it looks, it would sound very funny. It would sound like "Pal-palla-toc". My name is pronounced like "Papa-lotto". The "c" is silent. The origin of my last name is Filipino. It translates into the English language as "morning star". That's funny to me because my first name means "of the sea". So my name technically would be "Morning Star of the Sea". That's also funny to me because I'm not a morning person.
Pace and Track:
I have opted to carry out an accelerated pace and a standard track.
I like to read and write and I'm very serious about my writing. I'm kind of a nerd about it. When I grow up, I want to be a writer. My favorite subject in school is English and I want to write for magazines, newspapers, or maybe even write a book or two. This is the first time I've ever blogged anything and I like it. Maybe I'll keep it even after virtual school. As for my hobby, I surf.
Funny/Interesting Fact:
I like learning new words and expanding my vocabulary.
3 Things that have to do with chemistry:
1. I think my cell phone produces chemical reactions in order to send a text or make a call or surf the web.
2. I think that starting my car produces chemical reactions in order to start up and take me places.
3. Making dinner for my family requires chemical reactions in order for the food to cook properly.
2 Things I Hope to Learn:
1. I want to learn how lightning turns sand into glass.
2. I want to learn why chemical reactions occur.
